The development startet with a "ball of light" with ergonomic problems to a cylindrical shape that tapers to the upper third and can be rotated. This has a positive effect on ergonomics and semiotics and offers sufficient storage space for electronics.

we decided to do without the pivot point, because with an inner angle of less than 90° it requires either an elliptical outer shape, which leads to manufacturing difficulties or there are protruding edges while rotating the lamp.

The task consisted of the development and design of a product with a plug-in connection.

We designed a light source, which, in addition to existing light sources, should improve the light situation in the room and be universally usable. A floor lamp with a removable, battery-operated light source was created.

you are able to get direct light through a light cone at an angle of 80° and indirect atmospheric lighting through a flat side, a swivelling base. the luminaire contain a LED light, which is  dimmable, high-quality and, above all energy-saving.

To make the luminaire mobile and universally applicable, the battery played an indispensable role.

The plug connection is used between the mobile luminaire and the charging base.

After a detailed research of different loading possibilities we decided to use induction.

The magnetic base, in which the induction is installed, is now directly connected to the stand.

With its oiled oak and brass materials, the product contributes to a warm room climate. Induction charging turns the floor lamp into a detachable desk lamp, an atmospheric light and a reading lamp.

The magnet on the back of the lamp allows easy mounting on metallic objects such as table legs and radiators.

The flat surface has been modified so that it allows the luminaire to be placed without touching the lower radius. Thus, there is no aesthetic break of form.

The dimmer in the rotating front part switches the light on or off and adjusts the desired intensity.

The pivot point at the base station can be rotated in two directions, the luminaire around its own axis due to the freedom of contactless charging. The result is a wide range of lighting options.
